High-Level Training, Observation & Development

Designed for directors attending independently—ideal for educators aiming to upgrade their skills, observe multiple bands, and absorb 3 days of immersive jazz pedagogy.

• 4 Hours — Director Courses
  Focus on curriculum, rehearsal design, improvisation teaching, and ensemble development.

• 5 Hours — Observing Masterclass Critiques
  Watch Scott coach the directors own bands.

• 2 Hours — Observe Scott Brown Rehearsing a Band
  Learn high-level rehearsal techniques from one of the best jazz educators in the United States.

In additional to working with Scott, you can observe the other training activities offered by our other clinicians:

• 3 Hours — Instrument Specific Clinics
  Attend sessions normally taught to students: brass, woodwinds, rhythm section, percussion, and more.

• 3 Hours — Jazz Improvisation Clinics
  Learn how clinicians teach improvisation to developing musicians.

• 8 Hours — Observation of Clinicians Rehearsing Attending Bands
  See how different educators approach balance, tuning, articulation, and style.

• 5 Hours — Salt & Pepper Clinics with Pro Band
  Watch multiple bands rehearse mixed with professionals—one of the most exciting learning opportunities of the workshop.
